Good Morning!

It's 22 degrees here today, snow showers, very blustery - may as well be in Alaska, Margaret!

It was good news at the Lutheran Community Home yesterday!! Helen was slightly asleep when I walked in; but when I touched her toes she immediately opened wide her eyes, and beamed her beautiful smile! She is still in a room by herself, and she likes it. She walks everyday with the help of a nurse. She said she is drinking lots of fluids - they give her water, Sprite and Diet Coke. I think that is helping to avoid another kidney bout! She seems to be doing well; her hands aren't even swollen anymore! We talked for an hour - then it was time to let her eat her noon meal. She remembered Lisa and Katie had been there last week to visit her, and that seemed to make her happy. I saw George and Rhonda's new family picture - it is so good, Rhonda!!

We talked about her friend's (Joyce Hackman's) daughter being in the Miss USA contest on Jan 24th. That is such a thrill! Her name is Katie Stam; she's from Seymour, IN. So, if you should see the contest, please root for Miss Indiana; she is a lovely (well, beautiful!!) Christian girl, and she has a wonderful singing talent.

Guess I'll brave it to the mailbox! I'm thinking of all of you as I see your names above. We love all of you,

Erman and B.J.
